Before he was spiking volleyballs while shirtless on the warm beaches of southern California, Tom Cruise donned a pair of oversized shoulder pads and played some high school football in the bleak hills of western Pennsylvania in the 1983 film, All the Right Moves.

Featuring a solid cast, including Craig T. Nelson, who played the head coach before he played the head coach in his classic sit-com Coach, and a cute and spunky Lea Thompson, along with Chris Penn and a cast of high school extras, this film captured the desperation of a dying steel town.
